Essay on Jallianwala Bagh massacre

Jallianwala Bagh is not less than any holy and great place for every Indian. It lies in Punjab, India. This is an important land where great Indian freedom fighters and thousands of unarmed ordinary people were killed in a few moments. It is the place of Indian history, whose stories are heard by the stories of people.
Your heart's history of India's independence is full of the sacrifice of great heroes who discredited their lives in Jallianwala Bagh. Today our country is independent as the result of the sacrifice of those great martyrs. Today, due to them, the world is named with the highest names in the world.

History of Jallianwala Bagh Massacre

Jalianwala Bagh is located in Amritsar. This place is about 1.5 km from the famous Golden Temple of Amritsar. This incident was in 1919. That day the first date of the traditional festival Baisakhi was 13th April.
In India, Hindus consider this day as a holy day. On that day a huge jalace was organized in Jallianwala Bagh, where thousands of people were distant from far and wide. On that day, about 20,000 people attended the hearing of Hansraj Ji's speech, mostly in the Sikh community.

The speech started and people were listening carefully to the speech. Then the British General Dyer reached Jallianwala Tiger and suddenly he ordered the closure of the meeting. With orders from General Dyer, there was a run of rush in the crowd everywhere.
General Dyer deployed his troops on all the doors, so that people could not get out of the door. At that time, soldiers of General Dyer had around 1600 rounds of bullets.
Brutal General Dyer's British soldiers started rushing indiscriminately over the fleeing people, in which they carried all 1600 round tablets for about ten minutes. Many unarmed people jumped into a well located in that Jallianwala Bagh.

According to the British government, about 379 people died and 1200 people were injured in this firing, but according to the Indian National Congress, more than 1000 people were martyred on that day, 120 of which were found in the well of the well and more than 1500 wounded. Were.

Jallianwala Bagh massacre result

Thousands of ordinary Indian people died in this massacre of Jallianwala Bagh. General Dyer had planned that the Indians would be buried under this misdeed and will be scared of the country's freedom struggle. But this assumption of General Dyer proved wrong.
After the Jallianwala Bagh massacre, a fire broke out against the British government across the country. The Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, could not even bear witness after listening to this news. There was a fire of freedom in every area of India and there was a fight against British rule everywhere. The whole country stood against the British government
Due to the growing dissatisfaction among the people, the British government appointed a committee called Hunter Committee. This committee betrayed the people of India and presented the report in a completely unjust way, which said that only 400 people died in the Jallianwala Bagh massacre.
According to his report, from April 10 there was a martial law in Amritsar, which was completely false because the martial law in Amritsar and Lahore was announced on April 15 but the incident took place on 13th April. Even though the committee has done so cruelty of General Dyer, he has given every way to save it.
Even after the Jallianwala Bagh massacre, the British rule overtook ordinary people of India. He arrested about 262 people, of which 51 people were hanged, 46 were sentenced to life imprisonment, 3 for 10 years, 7 years for jails, 76 for 7 years, 10 years for 5 years and 11 years.

After such deception, the country's big leaders had strongly condemned General Dyer. Also Mahatma Gandhi wrote in his letter 'Young India' - defeat of General Dyer is a complete symbol of cowardice and animalism.
Due to being cowardly, General Dyer killed thousands of unarmed people. He considers himself a warrior and a savior? Her intelligence has become completely corrupted. This is a sample of his disqualification and mercilessness.

Jalianwala Bagh reminds the atrocities and cruelty of the British government. It also reminds those great ruthless people who have given their life for their country without any reason.
